Officials with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and Russell County Law enforcement officers made an arrest Monday morning at a home in 
the 900 block of east 7th in Russell following a six-hour stand off.
The Russell County Sheriff says the man had threatened a shootout with law enforcement.
The KBI team and others working from a location a half mile east of the high school on State Street finally entered the home, found the suspect hiding in the basement and made the arrest
The suspect was wanted on several felony charges.
