Cloudy cool conditions in the morning followed by plenty of sunshine in the afternoon as fair goers arrived for the first day of the Kansas State Fair.

State Fair General Manager Denny Stoeckline says everything has fallen into place smoothly as far as getting all of the exhibits and other attractions in place.

The fair grand stand entertainment kicks off tonight with the Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pull starting at 7pm.
