HUTCHINSON, Kan., – Garth Strand, former President and CEO of Heartland Credit Union, was recently honored as Professional of the Year by Heartland Credit Union Association (HCUA). The Professional of the Year award recognizes credit union staff for their leadership and management abilities and for having a positive impact on credit unions and the industry.

The Professional of the Year award winners were selected by the HCUA Awards Committee, made up of credit union leaders from Kansas and Missouri.

The Heartland Credit Union Association is the not-for-profit trade association for credit unions in Kansas and Missouri, and is the result of a consolidation of the Kansas Credit Union Association and the Missouri Credit Union Association,  in October 2015.
