HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Strataca is featured in an International Photography Exhibition called, “Salt Around the World.” The photographs show crystallized salt and mineral veins along the “Salt Safari” adventure hike in the Hutchinson salt mine. They were created at the request of the museum by Brian Lingle Photograph of Hutchinson. The photographs were published in a photographic album titled, Salt Around the World in Photography.

The theme of the photography competition was the beauty, richness and variety of salt (NaCl) to be found in various parts of the world: in salt mines, seaside salinas, saltworks, graduation works, lakes and museums. The best photographs were presented at the exhibition “Salt around the World in Photography” and published in a photographic album, accompanying the exhibition in the Krakow Saltworks Museum, Wieliczka, Poland. The exhibition ran from December 4, 2013 to March 31, 2014, and it will show abroad.

The international cultural event, “Salt around the World in Photography,” was organized under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as well as the Polish Tourist Organization.
