Strataca/Kansas Underground Salt Museum is participating in Smithsonian Magazine’s Ninth Annual Museum Day Live! on Saturday, September 28.

People can download free tickets that will admit them and one other person to Strataca at no charge. Rides are not included, but can be purchased separately. Make reservations in advance by calling 620-662-1425 or 866-755-3450.

The Museum Day Live, ticket is available at Smithsonian.com/museumday. One ticket is permitted per household, per email address. At Strataca patrons can print it or show it on their phones.

Last year’s event drew over 400,000 participants, and this year’s event expects record-high participation.

Strataca, the only attraction of its kind in North America and one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas, is located at 3650 E. Ave. G in Hutchinson, at the corner of Ave. G and Airport Road.
