WICHITA, Kans. – With less that a week remaining, the Sunflower Collegiate League is still tight with oneexception. The Cheney Diamond Dawgs have locked up the SCL West. NBC Tourney bids will go to three of the leagues teams.
The two division winners will get automatic bids and then the remaining bid will be decided by a four team playoff on a to be determined date. SLC West Champs Cheney and the SLC East Champs Haysville Aviators will compete in a best of three game series to determin the overall League Champion.
Those four teams right now are the Great Bend Bat Cats (playoff spot clinched), Hutchinson Monarchs, Derby Twins, El Dorado Broncos, and Newton Rebels. The Bat Cats and Monarchs play each other twice this week as do the Twins and Broncos
