HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One of the three people charged in the home invasion and beating of a Hutchinson woman is expected back in court Thursday for a status hearing.

Michala Cooprider is charged with aggravated intimidation of a witness, aggravated battery and aggravated burglary.

She has a $50,000 bond and is accused of attacking a Hutchinson woman in her home while she was in bed. The victim was beaten so badly, she had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. She was apparently attacked with a flashlight and hit on her head as many as six times. She was allegedly attacked because she may have given information to law enforcement in McPherson County over a burglary case.

Also arrested in the case is Joshua Bradbury and Joshua Rund. Bradbury has already been read the charges against him and Rund has yet to make an appearance. He was taken to the Rice County jail last week on another legal matter there.
