One of the three suspects in an attempted robbery and aggravated kidnapping case from earlier this month was in court Monday in a separate case where he also charged with aggravated battery.
Jeremia Palmer is charged in this case because of an incident back on July 22nd, where he allegedly battered Tyler Melton. Melton apparently required some medical treatment from the altercation.
He made an appearance last week where he was charged with aggravated kidnapping, conspiracy to commit aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated burglary, aggravated intimidation of a victim or witness and criminal threat.
The other two suspects have also been formally charged. 28-year-old Jedrik Smith of Hutchinson, and 29-year-old Zachary Lawson face the same charges, but Lawson also faces possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, anabolic steroids and criminal use of a weapon.
They were arrested on Sunday September 11 on the charges after a search warrant was served on a home at 8 North Heath in Nickerson because of the alleged beating and kidnapping of 28-year-old Larry McVey back on September 8.
The cases against all three men will be on future waiver-status dockets.
