HUTCHINSON, Kan. — An 18-year-old man was arrested early Monday morning on a charge of aggravated battery and consumption of alcohol by a minor.
Bryan Corral is jailed on a bond of $10,500 for an altercation that reportedly occurred in the 1500 block of North Jackson involving another 18-year-old. Corral is accused of threatening the victim with a knife. The victim apparently grabbed the knife and suffered a laceration to his finger and other cuts as a result.
Officers were notified when the victim showed up at the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Corral hasn’t appeared in court thus far, but should in the coming days.
He was sentenced back in October for a conviction of aggravated assault and was granted a year of probation with a two-year underlying sentence.
Corral was convicted of putting the victim in fear of being harmed when he threatened her with a butterfly knife on July 4.
