A 35-year-old Hutchinson man arrested again last week for allegedly being in possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell was back in court Monday morning where Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen set new bonds for two other cases pending.

Jacob Maxwell was jailed on a bond of 150-thousand for his latest arrest, but the state filed a motion to revoke the bonds in two previous case, so Monday morning. Judge McEwen set bond on one of the previous cases at 60-thousand and 30-thousand in the other meaning his total for those three case now at 240-thousand.

In the latest case, he also faces charges of interference with law enforcement, no tax stamp, felony theft and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute. Hutchinson Police were apparently called to his home in Careyville on the report of a possible stolen vehicle, a Gray 2002 Dodge Ram, allegedly taken from the parking lot of Home Depot.

When police approached the garage of the home, Maxwell allegedly ran from the officers, but was quickly captured and on his person was methamphetamine and some paraphernalia. Police estimate the amount of meth was between a quarter to an ounce which they consider a sellers amount. They also allegedly recovered the stolen pickup.

The other two cases pending against Maxwell also involve the sell of narcotics.

He’s expected back in court on Wednesday.
