HUTCHINSON, Kan. — It has been more than a year in the making, but on Wednesday TECH of Hutchinson announced that it will build an art gallery and retail center in the lower level of the Wiley Building. TECH President Brenda Maxi also announced that the administration offices will move to the Main Street location.

The gallery and retail center will occupy more than 8,200 square feet of space in the Wiley Building with the gallery and retail center on the lower floor, and offices in the mezzanine. TECH will also continue to occupy the old Midwest Feed building, which houses TECH’s live skills center and art studio.

Work at the Wiley building is already underway and is expected to be completed by January of next year.

The project is a joint effort by TECH and Manske and Associates, owners of the Wiley Building. Both sides have been working for the past 18 months to make the project possible.
