RENO COUNTY — A 17-year-old was injured around 8:30 a.m. Monday after she pulled in front of a semi at 30th & Buhler Road, east of Hutchinson.

Emily Morton was eastbound on 30th and stopped at the stop sign, but then pulled out in front of a semi driven by 27-year-old Ethan Ediger. He told Reno County sheriff’s deputies that he applied his brakes in an attempt to avoid a collision, but struck Morton’s vehicle, causing her to be ejected.

Morton was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries while Ediger reported no injuries.
