GREAT BEND – Three people were arrested on drug charges in Barton County on Wednesday after a six month joint investigation by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, the Great Bend Police Department, Barton County Sheriff’s Office and the Ellinwood Police Department.
According to a news release from the KBI, search warrants were executed Wednesday resulting in the arrest of the three Great Bend residents for distribution of cocaine. Officers seized approximately a half pound of cocaine with a street value of approximately $14,000.00, electronic equipment used to facilitate drug transactions, and a motor vehicle.
The names of the defendants are being withheld pending formal charges by the Barton County Attorney.
