
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Three people were injured in an accident at Avenue G and K-61 Wednesday morning.
Sixty-seven-year-old Sharon Fleming was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center with a broken leg, 22-year-old Jordan Shields was also transported for abdominal pains and 51-year-old Vida Smith was transported with a broken arm.
Fleming’s vehicle was struck at the intersection, after she apparently ran the stop sign, by a vehicle driven by 63-year-old John Shepherd.
Fleming was cited for disobeying the stop sign and no seat belt. Shepherd was cited for not having an interlock device on his vehicle.
The accident occurred around 10:50 a.m.
