HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson High School debate team will host the 42nd annual Tom Kelly invitational debate tournament Oct. 25 and 26 at Hutch High. The tournament is named for Tom Kelly, a longtime Hutchinson debate coach.

The tournament will feature championship, open and novice divisions. The tournament serves as a qualifier for the state’s Debate Coaches Invitational, which is held each January. The tournament typically draws 150 to 200 debaters over the two days.
