Topeka Man Sentenced To Nine Years In Cocaine Case

TOPEKA – A 33-year-old Topeka man has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison for trafficking in cocaine

Willie Marquis Halcrombe, Jr., pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

In his plea, he admitted that on Dec. 14, 2011, police served a search warrant at his residence at 5919 S.W. Park in Topeka. They found more than 25 grams of cocaine hidden under a mattress. They also found two .45-caliber pistols and a 9 mm pistol in the apartment.
