SOUTH HUTCHINSON,  Kan. —  A minor train derailment caused some traffic problems west of South Hutchinson Monday.

According to Reno County 911 the incident happened around 5:20 p.m. in the Union Pacific rail yard, and was reported as minor in nature. The accident closed off a portion of 6th Avenue west of South Hutchinson.

It’s the second such derailment in the UP rail yard in three months. A similar accident happened May 25th when one car left the tracks but remained up right.

No injuries were reported.
