NEWTON – The trial for a North Newton man charged with first degree felony murder in connection with the death of the 19-month-old, “Vincent Hill,” has been continued again according to the Harvey County Attorney’s office.
It was scheduled to begin on October 17, but according to that office has been continued again with no new date set.
In a separate case, Chad Carr is also charged with sexual exploitation of a child and the trial in that case has also been continued.
Carr is charged with killing the infant in one case, and also downloading child pornography in the other.
Autopsy information indicates the child died from complications of multiple blunt-force trauma combined with oxygen deprivation to the brain from suffocation or asphyxiation.
His girlfriend, Katheryn Nycole Dale, and the mother the child was sentenced to 41-months in prison back in September of last year for one count of abuse of a child, and one count of aggravated child endangerment. She’s expected to testify against Carr when his cases go to trial.
Carr remains jailed on 300-hundred thousand dollar bond.
