Trinity defeats Ell-Saline; improves to 3-0

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Trinity Celtics defeated the Ell-Saline Cardinals 8-6.

**Trinity used Kaleb Hammeke early in the game to run the ball and gain momentum. Hammeke has become a big part of Trinity’s offense.**

The game started out slow. Neither team scored in the first quarter.

With 10:31 left in the second quarter, Trinity took the lead with a 5-yard TD run and a successful two-point conversion.

When the third quarter passed with no points scored, the Cardinals threw in their last attempt and scored on a 75-yard TD pass. The Celtics stopped the Cardinals two-point conversion attempt.

Trinity travels to Conway Springs Friday, Sept. 21, hoping to continue its winning streak.
