HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Trinity Celtics defeated the Wichita Independent Panthers 52-0 Friday night.

Celtics quarterback Kaleb Hammeke scored the first touchdown and a two-point conversion just six minutes into the contest.

Hammeke passed to Isaac Miller for Trinity’s second touchdown just two minutes later.

The third touchdown came on a Hammeke 15-yard run. Running back Aaron Guerrero ran in the conversion to give Trinity a 22-0 advantage.

With only 51 seconds left in the first quarter, Guerrero ran 16 yards for a touchdown. The successful two-point conversion put Trinity up by 30.

Guerrero scored again to begin the second quarter.

Andrew Bergmeier gashed the Panther defense on a 90-yard run with 8:00 left in the second quarter.

Trinity’s wide receiver Nolan Clarke scored the final touchdown of the first half.

A running clock was set for the second half and neither team scored to leave the final tally at 52-0.

The Trinity Celtics play the Remington Broncos in Whitewater next Friday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
