Turon man waives preliminary hearing in solicitation case.

A Turon man accused of trying to entice of solicit a child 14-16 years of age was in court Wednesday afternoon on the charge of electronic solicitation.

Jon Hermann waived his right to a preliminary hearing in the matter where he’s accused of using a telephone or other electronic means to text the child hoping they would agree to commit or submit an unlawful sexual act. The alleged crime occurring on July 6, of this year.

With the waiver of the case, he will be in court on November 7, in front of Judge Trish Rose to enter a formal plea in the case. Its called arraignment where most defendants enter not guilty pleas setting the case up for a possible trial.
