DOUGLASS – Authorities are investigating an accident that left two people dead in southeastern Kansas.
The Butler County Sheriff’s Department says the collision happened shortly before noon Wednesday near the town of Douglass.
Authorities say a car and a motor home collided when one of the vehicles went through a stop sign, sending both vehicles into a ditch.
The car’s driver and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the motor home was treated by emergency medical personnel.
Names of the victims were being withheld while their families were notified.
