BELOIT (AP) – The Kansas Highway Patrol says two people have been killed in an accident on a north-central highway.

The patrol says a minivan driven by 53-year-old Bobby Counterman, of Wichita, went off northbound Kansas 14 in Mitchell County around 4:30 a-m, Thursday. The vehicle went back across the road and into a ditch, rolling over about three times.

Counterman and his passenger, 64-year-old Sandra Armstrong, died in the crash. Armstrong was also from Wichita.

The Highway Patrol says both were wearing seat belts.
