Two Harvey County residents injured in Wichita crash

WICHITA – Two Harvey County residents were injured in a four car accident in Wichita Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 54-year-old James Parnell of Halstead and his wife, 50-year-old Joan Parnell were in a car which had stopped on K-96 due to traffic congestion.

Their vehicle was then hit from behind by a car driven by 60-year-old Elaine Banman of Hillsboro. The Parnell car then hit the vehicle in front of them which then hit a fourth vehicle.

The Parnell’s were both taken to Via-Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita for treatment of injuries.

The accident occurring just after 4 p-m on K-96 near the Hillside exit in North Wichita.
