Two people were taken to area hospitals after a two vehicle crash on I-135 near Hesston early Wednesday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Brandon Lee Schrag of McPherson was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the interstate and collided head-on with another vehicle. That vehicle traveling south was driven by 65-year-old John Stanley of Wichita.

Stanley was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita while Schrag was transported to the Newton Medical Center.

The accident occurring around 7:50 a-m, Wednesday morning, about 2.5-miles north of Hesston.
