HUTCHINSON, Kan. —  It was a spirited day for debate at the Kansas State Fair over the weekend.

Two debates were held Saturday morning between Governor Sam Brownback and challenger Paul Davis. That was

followed by the Senatorial debate between incumbent Pat Roberts and his November opponent Greg Orman. Bot debates included barbs from each participant as well as a spirited crowd who threw their own jabs in here and there. Most of the governors debate centered on the budget and education while the senate debate centered mostly on health care and the grid lock in Washington.

The fair also got a visit from former Kansas Senator Bob Dole who spent some time at the University of Kansas Booth to say hi to well wishers.
