HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Two men arrested a week ago on a number of drug charges, including possession of methamphetamine and marijuana with intent to distribute within a thousand feet of a school, have been formally charged.

Patrick Stockman and Christopher Jenkins are both charged with possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, possession of hydrocodone and misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Hutchinson Police officers went to the home of the two men to serve a warrant and saw a marijuana bong on a table in plain sight. Both men gave consent to search. Officers found two bags of methamphetamine as well as 45 small bags, a scale, five hydrocodone pills, a 38 Smith & Wesson handgun and owe sheets.

In court, Stockman was read formal charges in another distribution case. In that case, he’s charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute for a case that goes back to Oct. 2. He also has a case pending trial for making a criminal threat to stab someone. That occurred on July 4. The case is pending a jury trial.

Both men were able to get their bonds lowered to $40,000. Their cases will now move to a waiver-status docket on Dec. 27.
