Two vehicle accident in Marion County kills one, injures two others (UPDATED)

MARION – A 23-year-old Warrensburg, Missouri man was killed in a two vehicle accident Thursday in Marion County, while two others were injured.

Killed was Sai Kartik Ramanadham. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Naveej Raj Arcot-Bhasker, also of Warrensburg.

Ramanadham along with the driver of the other vehicle, 20-year-old Taylor Kaitlin Sharp of Derby were taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment of injuries. Arcot-Bhasker was treated and released, and Sharp is listed in fair condition.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Sharp was southbound on U-S 77 highway, and Arcot-Bhasker was westbound on K-150. He failed to stop at a stop sign and struck Sharps vehicle.

The accident occurring around 8:30 p-m, Thursday evening at the junction of the two
highways, just east of the town of Marion.
