RENO COUNTY, Kan. — A 52-year-old Hutchinson man was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident in the county Thursday.

Nicholas Wagner of Hutchinson was traveling eastbound in the 7400 block of East K-96 Highway, while 19-year-old Bethany Simon of Haven was traveling southbound on Kent Road. She pulled out in front of Wagner and was struck by his vehicle.

Wagner was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries and Simon was uninjured. Both report airbags did not deploy and seat-belts were worn.

The accident occurred around 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
