Here is an update on the shooting on North Kent Rd., last night.

The victim, Kevin Tinin, is in stable condition at a Wichita hospital and has been interviewed by detectives.

The suspected shooter, Barbara Youngblood has now been arrested for the following charges.
Attempted 1st degree murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, and criminal threat.
Her bond is currently set at 536,500.00

It started when Reno County Sheriff Deputies, Kansas Highway Patrol Troopers and Hutchinson Police were called to the 300 block of North Kent Road on the report of a man being shot. This coming after 3-or-4, 911 hangups. But, the victim was able to get through, but wasn’t sure where he was because he ran and hid in the woods. Using a GPS location from his phone, they were able to narrow it down, but the man was deep in the wooded area so it took some searching to find him. Law Enforcement was eventually able to hear him and located Tinin.

Law Enforcement at the same time were looking for the victims ex-girlfriend who the victim said was the shooter. She was identified as 47-year-old Barbara Youngblood. A few hours later, she was located near Avenue G & Severance. Law enforcement had concerns that she might be armed with a 9-mm pistol.

The information on where she was so vague that it caused a pretty substantial search and even included the Hutchinson Fire Department using their thermal imaging camera. She was eventually found and taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Sheriff Detectives were still working the Kent Road crime scene late Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Sheriff Captain Steve Lutz telling Hutchpost that they had to get a search warrant to search the home and that took some time.
