The week of Oct. 28 is Red Ribbon Week across the country. USD 308 is partnering with Communities that Care to celebrate the week in district schools.

At Faris and Lincoln elementary schools, for example, students will have special activities. On Oct. 28, each second through sixth grades will celebrate Red Ribbon Week by pledging to be “Drug Free.”

Each student will sign a red flag and stick the flags into the ground. The flags will be on display in the front of the school until the evening of Oct. 31.
