USD 308 to consider purchase of security equipment

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson USD 308 School Board will hold its last meeting with Interim Superintendent Dr. Gary Price this evening.

Price will give way to Mike Folks from the Clay Center school district.

The board will go over the purchase of new security cameras for several elementary schools at a cost of $38,560.

The board will also go over a new policy regarding the use of therapy dogs in the district and look over the fundraising efforts for the past year.

During the school year, more than $166,000 was raised. The high school led the way raising more than $95,000. The two middle schools raised nearly $16,000 and the Magnet School at Allen raised more than $13,000.

Tonight’s meeting of the Hutchinson School Board begins at 6 p.m. in the school district offices at 1520 N. Plum.
