UTV accident injures 2

RENO COUNTY — Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of 69th & Nickerson Road for an injury accident involving a UTV Saturday afternoon.

Upon arrival, deputies saw a blue Polaris Razor on its driver’s side with four occupants sitting next to it.

The driver, 35-year-old William Joseph Palmer, and passengers, 36-year-old Seth Alan Moore, 5-year-old Easton Alan Moore and 5-year-old Kyle Loytz of Nickerson, were traveling westbound on West 69th in the UTV.

Palmer said he attempted to turn the UTV around while accelerating and lost control. The UTV rolled at least one time before coming to rest on the driver’s side.

Palmer was the only one wearing a seat belt. Easton Moore and Kyle Loytz were both medically cleared on scene by Fire and EMS. Palmer and Moore were transported by EMS to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for their injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor, but the accident is still under investigation.

The accident occurred around 3:45 p.m.
