HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Officials have announced a Phase 1 groundbreaking event for the Reno County Veterans’ Memorial to be built on the south edge of South Hutchinson.

The groundbreaking will be on Thursday, May 21, at 6:00 p.m. This will be on West Des Moines Avenue, which is just west of South Hutch’s Main Street.

The event will include a ceremony and a hot dog feed and the public is invited.

The Veterans’ Memorial is a community-based project to build an enduring monument to the contributions of those who have served in the military.
