HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The storms that moved through the area around 5:45 p.m. knocked power out on the north side of Hutchinson into the northeast part of Reno County, according to Westar Energy.

Outages extended from Hendricks Street east to Mayfield Road in the county, and generally north of 11th as far as Medora and south to the northern edge of Hutchinson Regional Airport.
Westar officials say one of the poles fell on a car. The driver was not injured, but crews are worked to de-energize the poles in the area. This occurring in the 400 block of East 43rd
There were scattered outages in other parts of Hutchinson as well.
Power poles snapped in the storm which caused the outages.
