WICHITA – A Kansas Department of Transportation worker was taken to a Wichita Hospital after a vehicle backed over him. Transported to Wesley Medical Center was 23-year-old Kelly Michael King.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a vehicle has pulled to the shoulder along I-135 to pick up some debris when King stopped to assist. As he walked toward the vehicle, the driver backed up running over the worker, then left the scene. The vehicle described as a 1999 Silverado pickup.

Others discovered King and he was taken to the hospital.

This occurring just after 11:30 a-m in Metro Wichita.
