TOPEKA – A Wichita resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, has claimed a Super Kansas Cash jackpot worth $1,457,962! The winner purchased a $1 Quick Pick ticket and matched all numbers in the April 14 Super Kansas Cash drawing. The winning numbers were 13-15-21-25-30 Cash Ball 14.

“Saturday afternoon before I went fishing, I purchased Powerball, Hot Lotto, and Super Kansas Cash tickets,” said the winner. “The next evening, I stopped at a convenience store to check my tickets on a Check-A-Ticket machine. When I scanned my Powerball and Hot Lotto tickets, the machine read, ‘Not a Winner.’ When I scanned my Super Kansas Cash ticket, the machine read, ‘Redeem at Lottery. Sign back of Ticket.’ I had never seen a message like that before, so I scanned the ticket a couple more times and got the same message each time.”

After returning home, the winner showed the winning ticket to his wife. After looking up the winning numbers in the paper, the Wichita resident realized they had matched all numbers on their Super Kansas Cash ticket, winning the jackpot.

“We were in disbelief when we realized how much we had won,” said the winner. “The reality of our win still hasn’t sunk in yet.”

After getting out of debt, the Wichita residents plan to purchase a new car, buy a bigger home, and the rest of their winnings will be invested. The jackpot-winning ticket was purchased at Benton Place, located at 815 N. Main in Benton.
