HAYS – 24-year-old Laura Stroup of Hays was arrested early Thursday morning.

She was using a machete during a disturbance in the 3100 block of Tam ‘O Shanter.  Hays Police Lt. Brandon Wright told Hays Post, “Fortunately, nobody was injured during the incident.

Stroup is charged with assault using a deadly weapon, domestic battery, and criminal damage to property.
