HUTCHINSON, Kan. —  The Hutchinson woman who was critically injured in a house fire one week ago has died.

Judy King died Tuesday evening at  St. Francis Regional Medical Center where she was being treated for burns and other injuries. Fire crews were called out to 930 East Sherman June 18 , and found the front of the home ablaze. Two people who escaped from the home when the fire started, alerted firefighters that there was still one person inside. King was located in a back room of the structure, and pulled from the home just before the fire consumed the room she was in, according to Fire Chief Kim Forbes.

A child playing with lighter fluid and a lighter is said to be the cause of the fire.
