Boo at the Zoo

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — It’s time for another Boo at the Zoo.

The Silver Anniversary is brought to you by Country 102.9 in conjunction with Friends of the Zoo and candy sponsor Midwest Ford and Toyota. Kids can trick-or-treat at various stops along the path while having the opportunity for safe, live animal encounters along the way!Boo at the Zoo

Some new elements have been added to this year’s Boo at the Zoo. The entrance has been moved to the gate near the Animal Rehab Center. Fun games have been added to some of the stops for a chance to win candy and other great prizes. Inflate-O-Fun has provided an inflatable castle bouncer. Big John’s Barbecue will be on location with a food truck for families who want to purchase dinner with a portion of the sales going back to the Zoo.

Peacock
Boo at the Zoo began in 1990 with 200 children exploring the zoo and receiving candy. In 2010, over 1700 children dressed in costume to enjoy the event. This year, 10 exciting stations await the children for a fun-filled event expected to delight nearly 2000 trick-or-treaters.
The weather forecast looks excellent for this year’s Boo at the Zoo, so bring your little ones in costume to the Hutchinson Zoo in Carey Park on Saturday, Oct. 25th, from 3 until 6 p.m.
