Ralph P. Dunn, 93, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Sunset Manor in Waverly, KS.

Ralph was born November 14, 1926 in Stafford, KS, the son of Walter E. and Elsie M. (Ricketts) Dunn. In 1952, Ralph was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Ashcraft in Stafford. To this union they were blessed with three children, Ivan, Lavon and Sherolyn.

Ralph attended a one room country school house and graduated Stafford High School in 1944. On July 18, 1945, he enlisted in the United States Army and was a Corporal for the 51st Military Police Battalion during the Korean War. Ralph was honorably discharged on January 31, 1947. Ralph worked at Cessna as a tester for the engineers making release valves and retired on March 31, 1990 after 31 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors and gospel music.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Shirley; son Ivan Dunn; brother, Roy Dunn; sister, Wanda Volker and a granddaughter, Linda Fehr.

Ralph is survived by his children, Lavon Dunn of Hutchinson and Sherolyn (David) Fehr of Waverly; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister Bonnie Scoggins.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2019 at First Church of Nazarene, 4290 N. Monroe St., Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Montie McFerrin officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to the First Church of Nazarene and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.

Emma Stutzman, 96, died November 20, 2019, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson.  She was born March 18, 1923, in Hutchinson, to Samuel and Delila (Byler) Nisly.

Emma was a homemaker with a very green thumb. In 1956, Emma and her husband, Ervin started Stutzman Greenhouse, which they owned until 1985.   After retirement, they moved to Haiti where they did volunteer work.  Together, they started Haiti Relief and Mission, serving in Haiti for 10 years, before returning to Kansas.

On August 8, 1943, she married Ervin J. Stutzman in Hutchinson.  They shared almost 75 years of marriage before his death January 26, 2018.

Emma is survived by:  children, Virginia Ferguson of Arkansas, Florence Galloway (Michael) of Hutchinson, Mahlon Stutzman; brother; Melvin Nisly of Hutchinson; brother-in-law L. Perry Stutzman (Silvia) of South Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Bunny Stutzman of Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; son, Don Ferguson; sisters, Amanda, Rebecca, Katie, and Mary; and brothers, Menno, John, and Jonas.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Cedar Crest Amish Mennonite Church, 7213 W. Mills Avenue, Hutchinson.  Burial will follow in West Center Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019, at the church.  Memorials may be made to Haiti Relief and Mission, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.

Billy Neville Baldauf, 95, of Hutchinson, died November 19, 2019, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson.  He was born December 15, 1923, in Newton County, Missouri, to John H. and Ethel (Scrogin) Baldauf.

Billy graduated from Baxter Springs High School in 1942.  He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1942 to 1945.  Billy owned and operated the B&B Superette grocery store in Haven for 17 years, and retired from the United States Department of Agriculture as a meat inspector after 20 years of service.  He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1361, and a longtime member of the Haven United Methodist Church.

On May 29, 1946, Billy married Dorothy Nell Hill in Columbus, KS.  They shared over 73 years of marriage.

He is survived by:  wife, Dorothy Baldauf of Hutchinson; sons, Robert (Mary) Baldauf of Wichita, H. Gregg (Karen) Baldauf of Hutchinson; daughter, Kay (Steven) Neill of Emporia; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by:  his parents; sister, Peggy O’Bryant; and brothers, Jack and Joe Baldauf.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Haven United Methodist Church, Haven, with Pastor Janet Sutter and The Reverend Richard Brooks officiating.  Burial will follow in Laurel Cemetery, Haven.  Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Marine Corps Honors Team.  Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, and 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at Haven United Methodist Church.

Paul Andrew Schrag, Jr., 92, died November 19, 2019, at Newton Medical Center.  He was born September 21, 1927, on the family farm at Burrton, to Paul Andrew and Alvina Bertha (Krehbiel) Schrag.

Paul loved the land and farming was his life.  He was a farmer and stockman, and lived on the family farm his entire life.  Paul was a lifetime member of the former Burrton Mennonite Church. He had a strong faith, and even though his family will miss him, they are comforted by Paul’s last words to them, ‘I want to go to heaven’.

Paul is survived by:  brother, Bob Schrag and wife Mary Ann; sister, Marlene Barton, all of Hutchinson; brother-in-law, Clifford Dick of Hutchinson; sisters-in-law, Juanita Schrag of Newton, Marilyn Schrag of Burrton; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents; an infant sister; brothers, Harold, Willard, LaVern, and Merle; sister, Joan Dick; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2019, at Elliott Chapel, with Jim Gundy officiating. Burial will follow in Burrton Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mennonite Disaster Service, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Donald Lynn ‘Don’ Freeman, 62, died November 18, 2019, at Heartland Haven, Inman.  He was born March 10, 1957, in Concordia, to Lloyd Eldon and Rosa Lee (McMurry) Freeman.

Don graduated from Trego Community High School in 1975, attended Dodge City Community College, and the Climate Control Institute in Wichita. He retired as a well tester for Enron. Don enjoyed singing, dancing and anything to do with horses. He had a passion for training and riding horses, and attending horse shows.  Don was a certified therapeutic instructor and volunteered in earlier years for Reins of Hope.

Don is survived by:  mother, Rosa Lee Freeman of WaKeeney; siblings, Karen Cole (Brian) of Overland Park, Chris Statler (J.C.) of Wichita, Ronald Freeman (Elaine) of WaKeeney, Alan Freeman (Cindy) of Hutchinson; and nine nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by:  his father and nephew, Jarad Ray Freeman.

Cremation has taken place.  Private family inurnment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Elmer, Kansas, with Matthieu Statler officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities-OKC or Kindred Hospice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.

Helen Louise Stoll, 76, of Hutchinson, passed away November 18, 2019, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born February 21, 1943, in Ava, Missouri, the daughter of Hershel Alcorn and Gladys (Bristol) Richardson. Helen graduated from Herington High School in 1961. She was a homemaker and Avon representative for many years.

Helen enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos, gardening and yard-work. She also enjoyed motorcycling with her husband, Noel, and they attended Bike Week in Sturgis about 12 times. But most of all, Helen loved spending time with her family. She was of the Christian faith.

On November 19, 1967, Helen married Noel L. Stoll in Wellington. They shared 52 years of marriage. He survives.

Also surviving are: children, Patty Owens, Teresa Stoll, Dale Stoll, all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, April Compton, Alisha Dove, Cameron Owens, Jennifer Stoll, Matt Stoll, Amy Stoll, Trevor Stoll, Sydney Stoll, all of Hutchinson; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Alcorn (Rohani), of Ramona, Jerry Alcorn of Herington, Tommy Richardson (Deniece) of Sedgwick; and her Rottie, Adele.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donnie Alcorn; and stepfather, George Edward Richardson.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
