Myrtice I. Stinson | 1937 – 2019 |

Myrtice Irene Stinson, 82, died August 13, 2019, at her daughter’s home in South Hutchinson.  She was born June 13, 1937, in Moultrie, GA, to Mack and Virginia (Crosby) Tuggle.

Myrtice graduated from Moultrie High School.  She loved being a caregiver, and was currently working as a home health aide for All Saint Care and Trust HomeCare.  She attended both Walnut & Campbell Church of Christ and CrossPoint.

On March 6, 1959, she married Miles ‘Mike’ Stinson.  He died December 26, 2000.

Myrtice is survived by:  daughters, Deborah Downing (Gary) of South Hutchinson, Diane Stinson of Hutchinson; son-in-law, Cleon Basham; sister, Virginia Green (Eddie); two granddaughters; eight step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; son, Dave Stinson; daughter, Sheila Basham; and brothers, Buck and Bobbie Tuggle.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Paul Thurston officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.  Friends may call from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Myrtice Stinson Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.

Jill LaClair | 1980 – 2019 |

Jill LaClair, 38, died August 12, 2019, in Nickerson. She was born October 8, 1980, in McPherson, the daughter of James A. and Donna J. (Brazda) Stagner.

Jill graduated from Little River High School in 1999 and Hutchinson Community College in 2011. She worked as a registered nurse at Wesley Towers.

On November 6, 1999, Jill married Cory R. LaClair in Hutchinson. He survives. Also surviving are: sons, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Alexander, Zachary, all of the home; mother, Donna Stagner, Little River; grandmother, Carolyn McIntosh, Hutchinson; grandfather, Robert ‘Bob’ Stagner, Little River; father-in-law, Jim LaClair, North Dakota; mother-in-law, Betty LaClair, Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Stagner and brother, Alan Stagner.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Elliott Chapel. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.

Laurine McFall | 1926 – 2019 |

Laurine McFall, 93, of Hutchinson, died August 12, 2019, at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born February 21, 1926, in Hutchinson, to John Kasper and Laura Jane (Helm) Nusser.

She was a 1944 graduate of Plevna High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. Laurine was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. William Saylor, a cook at Fairfield High School, and an employee of the Hutchinson News Circulation Department. She was a member of the Carey Park Women’s Golf Association for many years, and Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.

On June 27, 1946, she married Bennie Ray McFall in Hutchinson. They shared over 66 years of marriage before his death on September 25, 2012.

Laurine is survived by: daughter, Lauretta (Bert) Byrd, Hutchinson; sons, Pat (Beth) McFall, Lawrence, and Gene (Cathy) McFall, Manhattan; daughters, Susan (Wayne) Crotts, Hutchinson, and Nora (Randy) Cooper, Bella Vista, AR; grandchildren, Lacey (C.J.) McFall, Tara (David) Schooler, Lindsey McFall, Zachary (Julie) Crotts, Karen (Drew) Malchoff, Leah McFall, Mitchell (Kailyn) Cooper, and Alisha Cooper; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Clara (Nusser) Luman; and brothers, Leo and Wilford Nusser.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2019, at Peace Creek Cemetery, Stafford County, with Pastor Tim Carey officiating. Friends may call 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Reno County Veterans’ Memorial, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.

Janet Kay Page | 1943 – 2019 |

Janet Kay Page, 75, of Hutchinson, died August 12, 2019, at her home. She was born November 15, 1943, in Nebraska City, NE, to Richard and Berneice (Bray) Boom. Janet was later adopted by Harvey and Edna (Juilfs) Petersen. She graduated from Wichita North High School in 1962 and was a homemaker.

On June 28, 1971, Janet married Vernon W. Page in Clovis, NM. He died July 6, 2003.

Surviving are: children, Douglas Page, Verna Page (Danny Socha), Linda Engstrom (Ron), Karen Gregg, Melody Bratcher, Tod Page, Terry Page, Pricilla Page; sisters, Nancy Berry, Joyce Oelke, Harvine Kirchoff; brothers, Val Gene Petersen (Teresa), Terry Petersen (Pat); 21 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Timothy Page; ten brothers and sisters; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2019, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Salem Community Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. Victor T. Ruelas | 1952 – 2019 |

Victor T. Ruelas, 66, died August 10, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson Village.  He was born October 19, 1952, in Hutchinson, to Trinidad R. and Frances (Hernandez) Ruelas.

Victor graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1970.  He retired as a baker from Dillons.  Victor enjoyed bowling, racquetball, and gambling.  He was a member of Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.

Victor is survived by:  son, Jeromie Ruelas (Rebecca) of Nickerson; companion, Evelyn Clark of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Chance Ruelas of Nickerson, Marianna Boese of Lyons; siblings, Alfred Ruelas of Odessa, Texas, Vangie Saiz of Brea, CA, Ernie Ruelas (Darlene) of Wichita, Vicki Johnson  (Jerry), and Lydia Martinez (Rick), both of Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Alice Saiz.

Parish Rosary will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m., both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson, with Father Todd Shepherd officiating.  Inurnment will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.  Friends may sign the book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.  Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Society- Hutchinson Village, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.

Frank E. Bowlby | 1928 – 2019 |

Frank E. Bowlby, 91, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.

Frank was born June 10, 1928 in Baxter Springs, KS, the son of Chancy and Nina (Zook) Bowlby. On December 21, 1951 he married Lois Freeman in Eureka Springs, AR, to this union they were blessed with six children, Clifford, Jerry, Clinton, Bruce, Roxanne and Frank. Frank was a United States Army Veteran serving from November 1950 to November 1952 when he was honorably discharged. He served in the Korean War from 1951-1952. Frank had been a truck driver and later promoted to gauge reading for Koch Industries for 45 years until retiring in 1993.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Arthur Bowlby, Keith Bowlby and Robert Bowlby; sisters, Sara Bowlby and Francis Barton.

Frank is survived by his wife Lois Bowlby; five sons, Clifford Bowlby, Jerry (Sandy) Bowlby, Clinton Bowlby, Bruce Bowlby and Frank Bowlby; one daughter, Roxanne (J.R) Baggarly; a sister, Martha Clark; 28 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30 th Ave., Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Montie McFerrin officiating. Visitation will be held on –Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to the Hospice House or the American Lung Association and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
