Nicole Dawn ‘Nicky’ Wells, 38, died July 25, 2019, at her home in Haven.  She was born September 10, 1980, in McPherson, to Dennis and Melinda (Stimatze) Belcher.

Nicky was a homemaker and attended Crossroads Christian Church, Hutchinson.

She is survived by:  children, Lauren, Derek, Kaylie, Dylan, and Laiken Wells; parents, Melinda and Dennis Belcher; brother, James Belcher and wife Terri; sister, Kelby Belcher; grandmother, Joyce Belcher; step-grandmother, Alice Belcher; numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and the children’s father, Matthew Wells.

She was preceded in death by:  maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Junior ‘Bud’ Stimatze and paternal grandfather, Jerry Belcher.

Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Kevin Guffey officiating.  Friends may sign the book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. Wallace A. ‘Wally’ Harden, 84, of Hutchinson, died Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born March 7, 1935, in Hutchinson, to Alva A. and Ethel V. (Kollhoff) Harden.

Wally graduated from Reno Community High School in Nickerson in 1953 and was a farmer and stockman. He served on the Farmers Coop Board, Nickerson, as Grant Township trustee, and on the Reno County Farm Bureau Board. Wally was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and was a past member of Nickerson Lions Club, Hutchinson Ambucs, and Loyal Order of Moose #982.

On August 1, 1959, he married Barbara Marie ‘Barb’ Wisby in Hutchinson. They later divorced. On August 15, 1985, he married A. ‘Pat’ Armer in Windom. She died September 21, 2010. Wally then remarried Barb and she died April 19, 2013.

Wally is survived by: companion, Jeanette Salatino; children, Craig Harden and Julie Tomac (Lew), all of Hutchinson; daughter-in-law, Dea Harden, Nickerson; grandchildren, Karie Redman, Kelsey Boster, Jessica Gall, Taylor, Jason, and Cooper Harden, Ellyssa, Micah, Zoe, and Rachel Tomac; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Kingsley, Spokane, WA, Cecelia Steele (Mark), Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; sons, Kurt and Clint; brothers, Doug and Everett; sisters, Virginia Culver, Ann Stucky, and Glenda Parkhurst.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2019, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 140 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Carey officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1-8 p.m. Sunday, with family present from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.

Billy Martin ‘Bill’ Rowland, 87, of Hutchinson, died Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, and is now with Jesus in his heavenly home. He was born January 15, 1932, in Hutchinson, to Martin and Mary (Burdick) Rowland.

Bill was a 1949 graduate of Buhler High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. He was a realtor and broker, housing developer, and builder for several housing additions in the Hutchinson area. In addition, Bill owned an oil business, built and operated Hidden Valley Downs, (which was a race track and riding stables located in rural Hutchinson). He also built and operated a trap shoot range and owned Shane Housing. Bill was a founder and member of his beloved Union Valley Bible Church, Hutchinson. He enjoyed spending time with his extended family, especially for holiday gatherings.

In 1950, he married Anne Sutton. Later, he married Jewell Berdina (Isbell) Rowland in 1960 and 1999, twice!

Bill is survived by: wife, Jewell; daughters, Bilinda Sharp (Larry), Kristine Dean (Jerry), all of Hutchinson, Sheri Gray of Kansas City, Kansas; sons, Randy Rempel (Mark) of Las Vegas, NV, Barry Rempel (Joyce) of Goddard; grandchildren, Luke Sharp, Laci Chastain, Adam Sharp, Jonathan Dean, Jason Gray, Stephanie Gray, Nathan Rempel, Jeremiah Rempel, Suzi Frye, Traci Smith, Pam Love; and great-grandchildren, Ryker, Carson, Bryton, Regan and Scarlett, Jamie, Kendrick, Ashton, Shia and Qourtney, Sarah and Grace, Devon, Kody, Eliathan, William, Leslie, and Makayla, Steven, Matthew, Hailey and Amira, Savannah, Maclain, Mara and Krasen, Levi and Lily.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; infant son, Billy Martin, Jr.; Billy, Bilinda, Sheri, and Kristine’s mother, Anne (Sutton) Blakey; brother, Wayne; sisters, Grace Bridgewater, Helen England, June Rich, and Wilma Jean Martin; son-in-law, Rodney Gray; and grandson, Jeffrey Dean.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2019, at Union Valley Bible Church, 1916 E. 30th Avenue, Hutchinson, with Pastor Steve Hodgson officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorial are suggested to the church, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.

Jane Isabel Owen McGuire of Hutchinson, was born on January 13, 1925, in Kansas City, KS, to Roy L. and Ann B. (Cloughley) Owen. She departed this life on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Wesley Towers Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Jane graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1943 and the University of Kansas in 1947, where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She worked as a field director for Camp Fire Girls in Kansas City from 1947 to 1952.

Jane was introduced to the love of her life, James L. McGuire ‘Jim’, by a high school classmate. They were married by Jim’s father, the Reverend Willis C. McGuire, in Kansas City, on December 27, 1952, and began their life together in Flagler, CO. They later moved to Topeka, KS, and then to Hutchinson, where they lived for 16 years. In 1979, Jim’s work took them to Aurora, CO, where they lived until retirement. They moved back to Hutchinson in 1988. Jane’s life was spent caring for others. She was an excellent cook, loved to sew, quilt, paint, smock, and decorate every room in the house. Jane was involved at Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, where she and Jim sang in the choir and participated in their adult Sunday School class. She was involved in Circle, PEO, and of course, their ‘Traveling/Eating’ Bridge Club for almost 60 years. If you came to visit, you were always invited to come in for something delicious to eat.

Jane is survived by: her husband, Jim, Hutchinson; daughter, Marianne (John) Fenili, Goddard; sons, Tom (Candy) McGuire, Wichita, and Mike (Robyn) McGuire, Gardner; grandchildren, Erica (Kyle) Wallis, Becca (Bret Triola) Fenili, Cameron and Cooper McGuire, and Kenny Rinker; and great-grandchildren, Hudson, Owen, and Austyn Wallis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant daughters.

Celebration of Life service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Wesley Towers Evans Chapel, 3709 Asbury Drive, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
