Movie news you can use

[ By DAN DEMING ]

[ ENTERTAINMENT CONTRIBUTOR ]

Get ready for another box office blockbuster on the heels of ghosts and goblins. “Terminator: Dark Fate” actually opened Halloween night and will dominate ticket sales this weekend, after “Joker” set a record the last three weeks for all time revenue by an R-rated movie.

We won’t get into the complicated plot of “Dark Fate” but it is the sixth installment from director James Cameron after first bringing this mass of a screen-man to viewers in 1984. In brief, the latest “Terminator” is a science fiction action film and a perfect offering for anyone who doesn’t like reality in their entertainment. Arnold Schwarzenegger (the former governor) is back, reunited with Linda Hambelton, along with four new characters and stars. Brace for lots of special effects and spectacular, but not practical, scenes as “Dark Fate” carries a 160 to 200 million dollar Paramount Pictures budget.

Other B&B Theatre offerings this weekend in Hutchinson include another chance to see “Joker,” one of the darkest and best movies of the year, along with “Zombieland: Double Tap” and “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.”
