Margaret Marilyn Major | 1945 – 2019 |

Margaret Marilyn Major, 74, died October 30, 2019, at Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital, Wichita. She was born March 3, 1945, in Dodge City, to Harold and Helen Miles.

Margaret is survived by: children, Jesse Major (Sherry),  Hutchinson, Justin Major (Patty), Parkesburg, PA, Del Major (Debra), Hubert, NC, Jennifer Skinner, Hutchinson; grandchildren, Jess Major Jr., Amanda Major, Noell Sheffield, Chloe Jordon, Debra Krajacic, Bryan Major, Candace Cunningham (Ryan Barber), Brandon Ford; great-grandchildren,  Jett Major, Cheyenne Rigner, Riley Rigner, Wyatt Rigner, Maverick Jordon, KaAliyah Williams; brother, Eddie Major (Margie), Lyons.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, is in charge of arrangements.

Dan A. Adams | 1952 – 2019 |

Dan A. Adams, 67, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Diversicare in Hutchinson, KS.

Dan was born February 27, 1952 in Hutchinson, KS, the son of Edward and Esther (Belote) Adams. Dan graduated from Sterling High School and worked in maintenance for 19 years and retired from Kroger. He enlisted in the United States Marines and was honorably discharged. In his spare time, Dan enjoyed listening to music and watching movies.

He was preceded in death by his father. Dan is survived by his mother, Esther; children, Richard E. Adams and Dan A. Adams II; and brothers Larry E. Adams and Gary L. Adams.

There will be no public visitation as the family has chosen cremation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Diversicare and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS. 67502.

Dale Ellis Hilton | 1941 – 2019 |

U.S. Veteran

Dale Ellis Hilton, 78, died October 29, 2019, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born May 6, 1941, in Hutchinson, the son of Paul L. and Lela D. (Wise) Hilton.  Dale graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1960 and owned and operated Hilton Radiator Service for 43 years from 1971 until his retirement in 2004.  He served in the Kansas Army National Guard from 1960-1965. Dale was a member of American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #982, and Emanuel Lutheran Church.  He loved gardening and was a rock hound who especially enjoyed collecting arrowheads.

In 1961, Dale married Elizabeth W. Washburn in Hutchinson. They later divorced.  On May 29, 1976, he married Wilma M. Kottman in Hutchinson. They shared 43 years of marriage. She survives.

Also surviving are: children, Lorie Hilton-Reynolds, Hutchinson, Joel Hilton, Terre Haute, IN, Bud Kottman (Treava), San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Loribeth Reynolds, Dale Reynolds, Emily Wieland (Josh), Jacob Kottman, Dana Kottman; great-grandchildren, Bradley Reynolds, Collin Roberts, Kailee Kottman, Madi Wieland, Easton Wieland; brother, Paul C. Hilton (Neta), Hutchinson; several nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul L. Hilton and Lela Hilton Reed.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 140 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Carey officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the Kansas Army National Guard honor guard. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Reno County Veterans’ Memorial or Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.

Mary A. Blea | 1922 – 2019 |

Mary A. Blea, 97, died October 27, 2019, at her residence.  She was born July 5, 1922, in Hutchinson, to Arcadio Canales and Rita (Garcia) Aleman.

Mary was employed at Cessna Fluid Power Division as a parts assembler and retired in 1989 after 22 years of service.  She enjoyed wood carving and being a homemaker, but her greatest love was spoiling her grandchildren.

On August 11, 1941, Mary married Paul H. Blea in Lyons.  They shared over 63 years of marriage until his death on February 25, 2005.

She is survived by:  daughters, Stella Blea and Sharon Engle, both of Hutchinson; brothers, Robert (Rosemary) Aleman and Richard (Melinda) Aleman, all of Hutchinson; sister, Rosie Vargas of Hutchinson; granddaughters, Kim (Bryon) Blea-Brown and Cristie (Mike) Winston; great-grandchildren, Kalicia D. (Ryan) Wilson, Brianna M. Brown, Jordan B. Brown, and Paul M. Winston; great-great-grandson, Riley D. Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by:  her parents; husband, Paul H. Blea; son, Frank Blea; grandson, Michael R. Luna; sisters, Lola, Betty, and Jennie; and brothers, Charles, Luis, and John.

Parish Rosary will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Church of the Holy Cross, 2631 Independence Road, Hutchinson.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the church, both officiated by Father Michael Kerschen.  Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson.  Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County or Church of the Holy Cross, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.

Tena Ediger | 2019 |

Tena Ediger, 90, died October 27, 2019.  She was married to Walter Ediger for almost 71 years.

Rick Alan Williams | 1951 – 2019 |

Rick Alan Williams, 68, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.

Rick was born June 21, 1951 in Wichita, KS, the son of Carl L. and Marjorie J. (Meade) Williams. Rick was united in marriage to Catherine Baker on June 14, 1991 in Las Vegas, NV.

Rick graduated from Lyons High School and attended Barton Community College. He worked for INeeda Cleaners as a delivery driver. Rick had several hobbies over the years, woodworking, golfing, watching his grandson’s Motocross and spoiling his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Gary Williams.

Rick is survived by his wife, Kate; his son Jeremy (Ashley) Williams; and three grandchildren, Zade and Hadley Williams and Trey Sanders.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30 th Ave., Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Richard Haley officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
